Mahmya Island or Mahmya Beach?
The names can cause confusion. The operator distinguishes Mahmya Island on Giftun from Mahmya Beach in Hurghada itself. This guide covers the island location. Check that your confirmation explicitly mentions Giftun and the sea crossing; a booking labelled simply “Mahmya” may not settle the question.
Compare the complete itinerary
Ask for the departure point, meeting time and arrangements for getting there from your accommodation. Check island admission, food, drinks, equipment and additional fees separately. A boat snorkelling session may be a different option from free time on the beach.
